Michael Woodrow has over fifteen years of financial services recruiting and executive search experience. Prior to founding Risk Talent in 2001, Mr. Woodrow ran an IT search firm while completing his MBA at the University of Chicago. Mr. Woodrow is a 1986 graduate of Georgetown University with ten years of corporate finance experience prior to beginning his career in executive search and recruiting.

Under Mr. Woodrow’s direction, Risk Talent has completed over 175 retained searches in risk management and financial compliance with titles such as Chief Risk Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Director of Risk Management. Risk Talent has filled searches for clients including Wells Fargo, Fidelity, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, The Federal Home Loan Banks, CIBC, Oliver Wyman, HSBC, Protiviti, Bank of Montreal, RBS, BP, GE Consumer Finance, UBS, SAS, Ernst and Young, MoodysKMV, MSCI/Barra and others.

Mr. Woodrow is a frequent author and speaker on risk management and risk related recruiting and is considered an expert in the field. In addition to his work with Risk Talent, Michael leads seminars on recruiting in the risk and compliance fields across the globe. Risk Talent has offices in Chicago, New York and London.
